Studio Emissary
Originally working out of the desolate conservation area Heiðmörk, Studio Emissary is today a modern recording, mixing and mastering studio operating in Reykjavík, Iceland, with a wide range of services to fit any music production budget.
With albums such as Svartidauði's Flesh Cathedral and Sinmara's Aphotic Womb fully produced there, the studio has quickly gained recognition as a genre defining Black Metal studio. Whilst specialising in Metal music, Studio Emissary is a studio open to every musical genre, bringing the now well documented level of excellence to every project. |
Stephen LockhartThe brains behind the Studio Emissary operation is Irish producer and recording/mixing/mastering engineer Stephen Lockhart, known to some as Wann of Rebirth of Nefast. Credited with contributing heavily to the birth of Icelandic Black Metal for his work with Icelandic heavy-weights Svartidauði, Sinmara, and Zhrine (formerly known as Gone Postal), the Irish producer's name has become synonymous with a certain level of professional excellence. Having worked on everything between the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and Björk's Biophilia, he has quickly gained notoriety for his well refined engineering skills and detailed approach to any project. |
